Students learn about the bounty of our local food system directly from the growers and makers who provide our food; this direct connection encourages conversation of both the victories and the challenges that these producers face in a system that we are working to strengthen.
From how to use “strange” in-season vegetables to how local foods support community resilience in the face of change, our workshops are both practical and enlightening.
We also provide educational resources directly to local producers through a partnership with our local Small Business Development Center. This ranges from webinars that demystify specific legislation around local foods, to cohort-based workshop series that offer knowledge and accountability partners throughout the process of starting or strengthening a food business.
