Our Programs
ONline farmers market
The North Coast Online Farmers Market is a year round, local food market supporting small farmers and food makers within 100 miles of Astoria, Oregon. The market aims to increase local food accessibility for low-income community members through accepting SNAP (formally food stamps) and FDNP payments; offering a 50% discount on fresh produce purchased with SNAP; and a home delivery service with no fee for low-income customers. The Market currently supports 42 local food vendors and 500+ customers annually.
Commercial kitchen & Storage rental
Our commercial kitchen is available for rent with highly discounted rates for local food businesses - with priority going to new food producers, people of color and renters identifying as low-income. This resource currently supports six businesses in developing and processing value-added food products.
FARM & food business support
We offer individualized food business support services to help beginning and small food businesses scale up to financial sustainability. These 1-on-1 services assist with packaging and food safety compliance, product pricing and marketing, navigating licensing and insurance and more. 35 food businesses were supported by this program in 2021.
Kitchen Education
Our kitchen space functions as a participatory classroom and learning center, convening stakeholders from throughout the local food system for networking, gathering and education. There are two main categories of classes - Community Cooking Classes and Small Food Business Development Classes - both of which center food producers either as partner-instructors, featured producers, or students.
