River People Farmers Market

A North Coast Food Web project

Taste of Place

TOP miki webNot sure what to do with some of your farmers market produce? Let Taste of Place help you discover how delicious fresh, local produce can be!

Taste of Place is a collaboration between OSU Extension Service Clatsop County’s Family Community Health program and North Coast Food Web. Each week at the River People Farmers Market, Taste of Place features a different seasonal fruit or vegetable, cooking up samples and handing out recipes to help you make the most of your fresh produce purchases.

Recipes are available at the market, or you can visit North Coast Food Web’s recipe page for many of our favorite featured recipes. Don’t see the recipe you’re looking for? Please send us an email and ask for it!

Taste of Place volunteers can answer question about more than just that week’s featured fruit or veg. Not sure how to cook cabbage? Don’t know what to do with rhubarb? Wondering how to make salad dressings from scratch? We can help! Stop by the Taste of Place booth at the River People Farmers Market and get excited about cooking fresh and local.
