North Coast Food Web (NCFW) was founded in 2011 with a mission to ‘cultivate healthy communities and a vibrant economy through food and agriculture’ across the Lower Columbia Pacific Region.

We were born of the needs identified at the first FEAST (Food Education Agriculture Solutions Together) in Cannon Beach in 2009 that brought over 65 community members together to discuss food (in)security challenges in our region and to identify a path forward to a resilient community food system. On the heels of that event, the Clatsop County Food Assessment (CFA) created the road map which NCFW has been traveling.

NCFW has built relationships with volunteers, schools, families, Oregon Food Bank and its local subsidiary, Clatsop Community Action Regional Food Bank, OSU Extension, local governments, and other non-profit groups. These collaborations have helped us educate and engage children, families and communities, at school and at home, building the skills to grow food, increase access to local agriculture, develop cooking and nutrition skills and encourage citizen involvement in the development of a healthy food system. Additionally, NCFW has supported new and existing farmers, provided resources for food system entrepreneurs to succeed and been actively engaged in community and economic development in our region.
