Join us for Young Chef Cooking Camp!

Are you a young chef between the ages of 10-14, and are eager to learn new cooking skills?  Young Chef Cooking Camp is a hands-on cooking series that will improve your kitchen skills, and make you a master of the kitchen.

Each day, young chefs will work together to create meals (including snacks, main dishes, optional sides, and delicious desserts,) each day menus are based on carefully selected global cuisines.  With the growing importance to know what ingredients can be found local, we will use local food when possible

In addition to building our kitchen and cooking skills, we will enjoy fun activities each day to increase our knowledge around food, how it is grown, and where it comes from!

Classes will be 3.5 hours each day (9am-12:30pm).

Scholarships are available!

Day 1: India; A World of Spice!

Snack: Lassi and Potato Samosa

Menu: Keema, Chana Masala and Ladoo

 Day 2: Italy Eats!

Snack: Bruschetta with Garlic Toast

Menu: Fresh Ricotta, Fresh Pasta with Creamy Zucchini Sauce and Cannoli  Cream Cupcakes!

Day 3:  Asia Inspiration!

Snack: Bubble Tea and Ban Chuoi Nuong

Menu: Steamed Pork Buns, Noodle Bowls and Fresh Fruit Mochi

Day 4: South America and Beyond!

Snack: Fresh Tropical Fruit Smoothie and Cowboy Salad

Menu: Tamales,  2 types of Salsa, Beans and Rice and Tres Leches Cake!

Day 5: Guest Chef Surprise!

Day 5 we will celebrate a local chef instructor! We will create a delicious meal together from a special menu they have created just for our Young Chefs!

This class is hands on cooking.  We will all help prepare the menu while learning and having fun in the kitchen!

*You may cancel your registration for a class up to 48 hours in advance of the class starting time and receive a credit to transfer to another class of equal value, refunds are given on a case to case basis, and a small processing fee may apply.

To cancel a registration, contact the Kitchen Coordinator, Wendy D’Agostino at 503-468-0921 from 9am-2pm W-F. Holiday hours may vary.) No refund or exchanges will be given on classes that are cancelled less than 48 hours prior to the class. North Coast Food Web reserves the right to cancel any class that fails to attract sufficient enrollment, chef illness or inclement weather. We will contact you by email or telephone and issue a refund or you may request to be transferred to another class of your choice (depending on availability). If you miss a class due to weather-related concerns, our standard cancellation policy applies.
