Learn the basics of the age old practice of Sourdough baking. We will discuss the theory and a short history of sourdough baking while we dive into a hands-on baking workshop. Together we will construct artisan bread loaves from start to finish. When you leave this course, you’ll have all the tools you need to bake delicious, tangy sourdough bread at home.
Time/Location: Saturday, April 8th. 10:30 am – 3:00 pm (includes 30 minute break for lunch). Class will be held at North Fork 53, 77282 OR-53, Nehalem, OR 97131.
Cost: $50 per person, includes materials and sourdough starter to take home. Spaces are limited, max 8 people. Register by March 25th.

Instructor: Sarah Jean Henry
Bio: Sarah is the owner of Nightlight Farm and operates a Cottage Bakery from her home in Jewell, OR. She specializes in long fermented sourdough baking and incorporating foraged and seasonal elements into her flavors and decorations. She is slightly obsessed with the back-to-basics movement and her baking largely motivated by slow foods.
